Kai Fukami, Associate Professor in Aerospace Engineering, has been selected as a “NISTEP Researcher 2025” by the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP), Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), for his outstanding research achievements in pioneering highly accurate prediction and modeling methods for turbulence and aerodynamic phenomena through data-driven fluid analysis that integrates machine learning and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). 

Since 2005, this award has annually recognized researchers who have made significant contributions in various fields of science and technology as “NISTEP Researchers.” 

Past recipients include Professor Shinya Yamanaka (Kyoto University, 2006) and Professor Hiroshi Amano (Meijo University, 2009), both of whom subsequently received the Nobel Prize.
