The Division of Mechanical Engineering provides an opportunity for high school students or university students to take a tour of the facilities on campus twice a year. If you would like to visit our campus, please consider these events as belows.

Open Campus

The event, “Open Campus” is held at the end of July every year. During the event, you can freely visit any department
or laboratory you want. High school students may also experience lectures and experiments.

Open laboratories for the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

“Open laboratories” is held in the middle of March every year. You can visit any laboratory of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. If you are thinking of enrollment into a graduate school or transferring from a technical college, or want to know laboratories more deeply, please take part in this event. We also welcome high school students.

Individuals or small groups visiting

Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, we are not able to accommodate individuals or small group visiting the laboratories without prior permission.
However, if you aspire to enter the Division of Mechanical Engineering at Tohoku University, please make the direct contact to each laboratory; the contact information is shown on its website. Other than that, you can also call to either of the offices listed below.

The application for arranging a guest lecturer

The Division of Mechanical Engineering can arrange for a professor to give a guest lecture at a high school. For those interested, please fill in the required items on the application and apply by FAX or e-mail.
After the application has been processed and the schedule that was desired is considered, a guest lecturer will be arranged according to availability and circumstances.
