堀切川一男教授が開発指導した、(株)三義漆器店の植物由来の生分解性樹脂(PLA)に会津塗を施した「紫翠盃（しすいはい）」が、2021年10月1日からアラブ首長国連邦ドバイで開催されている万国博覧会において、要人用の贈呈品（VIP記念品）に選ばれたことが、福島民友新聞で報道されました。
