ファインメカニクス専攻では、原子分子レベルの「精緻」なメカニクスによって、無機有機バイオに渡り、しなやかでタフな材料・システムを科学し工学する新たな学問分野の確立と、その分野に精通した学生・研究者・技術者の育成を行っています。自動車、航空機から健康・医療機器などの幅広い産業分野に展開される材料メカニクス、ナノメカニクス、バイオメカニクス、さらにそれらの関連領域の研究・教育を担うことで、人・環境・社会・経済に調和する持続可能な「ものづくり」を推進し、たおやかな持続可能社会の構築に貢献していきます。
当専攻では、国際放射光イノベーション・スマート研究センター(SRIS)の所属教員が本コースの協力講座の教員を兼ねています。また、その他の教員もNanoTerasuと密接に連携した研究を展開しています。
