Graduate School of Information Sciences
情報科学研究科では、人文社会、社会科学、自然科学等の個別科学で生み出される情報とその取扱いを、学際的な視点から研究し、情報科学の発展と新しい学問の構築を目指すとともに、新時代を拓くすぐれた人材の育成を目指しています。機械系からは5つの研究分野と3つの協力講座が、情報基礎科学専攻、システム情報科学専攻、応用情報科学専攻に所属しており、熱流体シミュレーション、高性能・低消費電力コンピュータアーキテクチャ、コンピュータビション、ビジュアルサーボ、レスキューロボット、などの機械工学と情報科学が融合した研究を推進しています。大学院教育は工学研究科に所属する機械系専攻とも密接に連携しながら進められます。本研究科に所属する機械系研究室では、特に機械工学のみならず情報科学にも精通した人材の育成を目指しています。
